Dutch Design Week Expo

Discover the world of Virtual- and Augmented Reality!

Meer informatieNederlandse versie

Discover Virtual Reality for museums and experience centers.

Get to know the VR games that we have developed over the past year. Stop a train robbery for example, or take a relaxing flight in a hot-air balloon. Are you the competitive type? Why not compete in a VR racing game?

Experience corporate VR training courses and simulations.

We would like to use our Dutch Design Week expo to demonstrate the full potential of interactive media in business environments. For example, you are free to experience various VR applications, training tools and research programs.

Get inspired by a truly interactive DDW exhibition.

There are tons of things to do! We are specialized in everything that has something to do with interactive media. For example: you can also test drive a few of our Augmented Reality apps along with several interactive installations.

1 Sandbox – Interactive Installation

Our interactive sandpit shows you how digital projections can offer an amazing level of added value to a physical setup. You can create your own sandy landscape and experience how the height projection adjusts automatically. Tip: if hold your hand just a few tens of centimeters above the sand, you can actually make it rain!

2 Skyrunners – VR Parkour

Parkour like you’ve never experienced before! In Skyrunners, you can set the fastest time by climbing, running and jumping in an urban environment. Because the experience has been fully designed for competition, you can race against three other players at the same time. Skyrunners has been developed for the Enversed Virtual Reality Center.

3 Train Heist – Cooperative VR

‘Train Heist’ has been developed for the Proto Invention Factory: a brand new VR Center in Estonia. This VR experience is entirely based on teamwork and coordination and is suitable for Science Centers and museums., As security guards, you and your colleague are responsible for safely transporting some valuable inventions to the city of Tallinn. Can you manage to defeat the train robbers?

4 Green Screen – Interactive installation

The Green Screen setup has been developed for the Enversed Virtual Reality Center and will return for the Dutch Design Week once more! Activate the camera, position yourselves in front of the green screen and change the background to an exciting scene. You can make it seem like you’re being chased by zombies for example!

5 Flight – VR Paraglide Simulator

Flight will return for yet another edition of the Dutch Design Week. This VR paraglide simulator allows you to perform realistic maneuvers in the air. The controls feel intuitive and extremely lifelike! You can choose to fly at your own pace or challenge yourself to complete a course as quickly as possible. As you can see, this is entertainment for a wide audience!

6 Steamracers – VR Racing Simulator

‘Steamracers’ has been developed for the Proto Invention Factory: a brand new VR Center in Estonia. This VR simulator is suitable for Science Centers and museums. In this racing experience, four players can race against each other by using special steam vehicles. The icy plains and tunnels in Tallinn form a route that will yield one winner after three rounds!

7 Sioux Holodeck – VR Simulation

The Sioux Holodeck is a VR environment to simulate machines by Sioux. Because their machine control software can be linked to our virtual environment, machines can ‘come to life’ in VR. This allow engineers to discover errors in a quick and intuitive manner during the development process. Digital Twin solutions like these are perfect for optimizing industrial processes.

8 NS Trein of Tomorrow – VR Research

In collaboration with NS and Mecanoo, Enversed Studios has developed an entire virtual simulation of the newest train interior. Because the VR application is used as a research environment, you can assess the train of the future virtually during the Dutch Design Week! In addition to the VR experience, the first real physical mockups can also be admired.

9 BHV Training – VR Training Tool

Together with B&V Partners in Veiligheid, Enversed Studios is developing a platform for VR safety training. In this training course, you can learn how to open the right doors in the event of a fire. You also get to choose the correct extinguishing agent and learn how to extinguish the fire itself. While developments are still in full swing, we have this demo available to you!

10 Aircycle – VR Flying Simulator

‘Aircycle’ has been developed for the Proto Invention Factory: a brand new VR Center in Estonia. This VR simulator is suitable for Science Centers and museums. In this experience you will take the role of a flying postman. Cycle through the air and deliver all mail packages before time runs out. But remember, try not to bump into the buildings!

11 De Angstfabriek – AR in an Escape Room

Augmented Reality can be perfectly integrated into physical Escape Rooms. The Angstfabriek is a unique concept that acts like a pop-up Escape Room and raises awareness of fear in our society. Participants go undercover as employees in the Angstfabriek. This AR experience allows visitors to search for ‘fear products’ that are hidden in the production line.

12 Magic Leap One – Angry Birds in AR

During the DDW exhibition, we want to introduce you to the Magic Leap One: an Augmented Reality headset that can be used without cables or computers. With Angry Birds AR you get the opportunity to walk through the level yourself and pelt buildings (and pigs) from several different positions and angles.

13 Westfort – AR Model

Augmented Reality can be utilized in countless ways. This particular demonstration shows you how you can connect a digital 3D model to a physical table. Within a few years, these types of models can be displayed by using wireless and transparent headsets, leaving you free to interact with the 3D model!

14 Light Factory – Assemble lights together!

‘Light Factory’ has been developed for the Proto Invention Factory: a brand new VR Center in Estonia. This VR simulator is suitable for Science Centers and museums. In a 19th-century lamp factory you have to work together to assemble lamps before they roll off the conveyor belt. Watch out: you both have access to different parts. Therefore, communication and cooperation is essential!

15 Balloon Escape – VR Flying Simulator

‘Balloon Escape’ has been developed for the Proto Invention Factory: a brand new VR Center in Estonia. This VR simulator is suitable for Science Centers and museums. In this experience you are the inventor of a unique controllable hot air balloon. Because the army wants to steal your invention, your goal is to escape unseen at night!
